Chicken

Instructions

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to prepare the marinade.
  • 2. Add sliced chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • 3. Slice the red and green bell peppers and onion into thin strips and set aside.
  • 4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil, and let it heat up.
  • 5. Add marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring, then stir and cook for another 4-5 minutes until fully cooked.
  • 6. Add sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet, stir, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  • 7. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or oven.
  • 8. Serve the chicken and vegetable mixture on tortillas with optional toppings.

Notes

For variations, consider using shrimp, beef, or tofu instead of chicken. You can also add lime juice to the marinade for a citrusy flavor.
