Instructions

  • Prepare the ingredients: Gather all the ingredients. Chop the cabbage, dice the onion, and mince the garlic.
  • Sauté the aromatics: In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for about 5 minutes until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Brown the meat: Increase heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the cabbage: Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes until it begins to wilt.
  • Incorporate the remaining ingredients: Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato paste, rice, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Simmer the soup: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for about 30 minutes, or until rice and cabbage are tender.
