Beef

Marinade

  • 1/2 piece pear or apple, grated Optional, adds sweetness and helps tenderize the meat.

Instructions

  • 1. Freeze the beef for about 30 minutes before slicing to make it easier to cut into thin strips.
  • 2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  • 3. If using, add grated pear or apple to the marinade.
  • 4. Place sliced beef into the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • 5. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat, adding a small amount of oil if using a skillet.
  • 6. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.
  • 7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
  • 8. Serve immediately with rice, lettuce wraps, or your choice of sides.
