Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate large bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Whisk in the sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts until evenly distributed.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly underbaked.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
