Instructions
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash the avocado to your desired level of creaminess.
Finely chop the tomato and add it to the bowl with the mashed avocado.
Finely chop the red onion and add it to the mixing bowl.
If using jalapeño, mince it and add to the bowl.
Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the mixture.
Juice the lime and pour it over the avocado mixture.
Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Gently mix until well combined.
Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Transfer to a serving bowl.
If not serving immediately, cover with plastic wrap pressed onto the surface to minimize oxidation and refrigerate.
