Ingredients

Meat

  • 32 ounces Steak (Ribeye or Filet Mignon) 8 ounces per person

Seafood

  • 24 ounces Shrimp (Peeled and Deveined) 6-8 large shrimp per serving

Oils

  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin for best flavor

Spices

  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Kosher salt to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper Freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 1 whole Lemon Juice for brightness

  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Parsley or Chives) Chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare your ingredients. Ensure the steak is at room temperature and rinse the shrimp under cold water.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides and let it rest.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
  • Flip the steak and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
  • Transfer the steak to a cutting board and cover loosely with foil to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  • Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and add herbs.
  • Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve with shrimp, drizzled with skillet juices.
  • Enjoy your meal with your favorite sides!

Notes

For variations, consider using scallops instead of shrimp or adding a side of creamy mashed potatoes.
