Instructions
Prepare your ingredients. Ensure the steak is at room temperature and rinse the shrimp under cold water.
Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides and let it rest.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side.
Flip the steak and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
Transfer the steak to a cutting board and cover loosely with foil to rest for 5-10 minutes.
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
Add the shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink.
Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fully cooked. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and add herbs.
Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve with shrimp, drizzled with skillet juices.
Enjoy your meal with your favorite sides!
Notes
For variations, consider using scallops instead of shrimp or adding a side of creamy mashed potatoes.
