  • 1/2 cup Honey or Maple Syrup Acts as a natural sweetener and binding agent.
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil Adds richness and helps the granola toast evenly.
  • 1 cup Mixed Nuts Chopped into smaller pieces for added protein.
  • 1/2 cup Dried Fruits Adds natural sweetness and chewiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances the flavors of the other ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Optional but recommended for added flavor.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats and mixed nuts.
  • In a small saucepan, combine honey or maple syrup, vegetable oil, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture over the oat and nut mixture and fold until fully coated.
  • Spread the granola mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Remove from oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
  • Mix in dried fruits once cooled.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
