Instructions
Begin by preparing your ingredients. Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until hot.
Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring.
Stir-fry the beef for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through and tender.
Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. Sauté the chopped green onions in the same skillet for about 1 minute.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet, pour any remaining marinade over it, and stir well to coat.
Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve hot over rice or noodles.
Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding vegetables or adjusting the sweetness to your preference.
