Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  • In a medium saucepan, pour in 2 cups of full-fat coconut milk and set the heat to medium-low.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric and whisk to combine.
  • Incorporate 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger and whisk vigorously.

  • Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper and stir.
  • Heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste the mixture and add sweetener if desired.
  • If using, scrape the seeds from a vanilla bean and add them to the mixture.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.
