  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Approximately 6 ounces each.
  • 4 slices Swiss or Gruyère cheese Choose based on preference.
  • 4 slices Ham Opt for high-quality, thinly sliced ham.
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour For dredging the chicken.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten, for binding.
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs For a crunchier texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For seasoning.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for seasoning.
  • as needed oil Cooking oil For frying.
  • as needed garnish Fresh parsley Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare your chicken.
  • 2. Pound each chicken breast to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  • 3. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • 4. Lay a slice of ham and cheese on each chicken breast.
  • 5. Roll the chicken tightly around the filling and secure with toothpicks.
  • 6. Dredge each chicken roll in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  • 7. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the chicken rolls until golden brown.
  • 8. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • 9. Let rest before slicing and serve garnished with parsley.
